From Poverty to Purpose — Empowering Others Through Education and Hope
About

Meet Huong
Social Entrepreneur, Inspirational Speaker
I grew up in a small farming village in Vietnam, where poverty made education a distant dream. At 13, I left home to work as a babysitter, earning $6 a month, but I never stopped believing that education could change my life. Through resilience and support from social enterprises like KOTO, I earned scholarships to study in Australia, became Yale World Fellow , and Obama Scholar at Columbia University. Today, I’m the Founder and CEO of HopeBox, empowering women affected by gender-based violence, and serve as Executive Director of the Australia Vietnam Leadership Dialogue. I believe that no matter where you start, you deserve a seat at every table you dream of.
